Pilgrims Can Now View Sacred Mount Kailash from Indian Soil Without Entering Tibet
In a historic development, the Uttarakhand government has provided a new opportunity for Indian pilgrims to view the sacred Mount Kailash from Indian soil, eliminating the need to travel to Tibet. Thanks to the efforts of the Pithoragarh district, the Border Roads Organisation (BRO), and the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), pilgrims can now witness the revered peak from the Old Lipulekh pass.
Previously, Indian pilgrims had to embark on the challenging and lengthy Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, which required crossing into Tibet. Now, with helicopter rides and an accessible trek to Old Lipulekh, devotees can experience the divine journey without the need for international travel.
